Discover archipelago by kayak with us! Escape the big city and enjoy wonderful seaside landscapes, only 30 min drive from Stockholm. Winter kayak tour around Vaxholm is a memorable and purely magical experience. Vaxholm is known as a capital of archipelago and kayaking is the best way to explore this wonderful place. Paddling is possible almost all year round. The archipelago is very lively in summer however during autumn and winter you will experience luxury of having it all to yourself.
Area around Vaxholm is among the most beautiful places to paddle. Admire amazing swedish nature and local architecture along the way and listen to local stories. We will enjoy the fresh, clear air and the view over archipelago that goes in pale tones. The silence will be broken only by the splash of water from paddles. Soak up the scenic winter views and feel immersed in the tranquility, despite being just 30 minutes from Stockholm. We provide drysuit and warm drinks during kayaking tour.

What To Expect
Vaxholm Fortress (Vaxholms fästning) dating back to the 1500s, the Vaxholm Citadel, located between Vaxholm and Rindö, was used to defend Stockholm. Built by King Gustav Vasa.

Excellent winter activity

Theresa and Andy were excellent! The conditions were very cold and the ice thick, but Theresa gave excellent instruction for how to maneuver through the ice, and kept taking pictures along the way to make your experience memorable. The sights on the tour were incredible and better than what I imagined. Will definitely be coming back... in the summer :)

Excellent trip with amazing guides. Very knowledgeable and helpful. They give you plenty of gear to stay warm and dry. The scenery is breathtaking and the kayak is easy to use and maneuver. Overall amazing experience.
The highlight of our Sweden trip!

This was the highlight of our trip! The kayaking tour was absolutely beautiful, and I was surprised to see not many others on the water enjoying the scenery, which made it all the more peaceful. Our guide was wonderful, very friendly and gave us just the right amount of information about the surrounding area and Swedish culture without being too chatty. This was the coolest thing we did on our entire trip to Sweden, and I cannot recommend it enough!

We loved the kayak tour! Our guide Andy was super nice, took good care of us and entertained us with interesting facts about the region, Sweden in general and nature during kayaking. The tour was my personal highlight of our visit in Stockholm. We definitely recommend it and we are hooked. We'd love to come back some time in summer and rent two kayaks and camping gear from Andy - so that we can have a longer adventure holiday and discover more of the beautiful skärgård.

Fantastic 4 hour trip, the kayaking was a beautiful way to explore the islands! Both tour guides were super friendly and very fun to hang out with....the fika break was a nice touch.

Amazing time! Doing kayak in winter is quite unique experience and the 2 guides were so patient and fun to be with! Definitely recommended to do in either cold or warm weather.
