Alternative to the Swedish History Museum; In dark cellar vaults at the Royal Palace the Monarchy's most important symbols – the Regalia – are kept. See fascinating and exclusive art, steeped in exciting history.

The Regalia are the symbolic objects that The King or Queen are presented with by the Archbishop on coronation day.
Several of The Princes and Princesses' crowns are also on view as well as the silver baptismal font from 1696, which is still used at royal baptisms.

It is this collection of invaluable objects that still nowadays is regarded as The King's regalia.

Historiska Museet
This is an alternative attraction in case of any of the mentioned attractions is closed or unavailable.

The Swedish History Museum is one of the biggest museums in Sweden. Every year a quarter of a million of visitors come from Sweden and around the world to see Sweden’s foremost gold and silver treasures, incomparable medieval art and unique finds from one of the most violent battles of Swedish history – the Battle of Gotland 1361.

Note! Vikings themed activities are available during summer season, such as Try Viking Age crafts and games, Viking clothes.

As a further alternative to the History Museum as mentioned before only in case of any other attraction is unavailable/closed) a guided visit to The Royal Coaches Museum
