Overview

You are in Stockholm for a long weekend and would like to get a larger experience of what Sweden has to offer. You know that we have majestic animals in our wilderness and you like to see these creatures in real life. We propose you this safari that will give you the chance to spot many different animals iconic to Swedish wild nature. What about coming back home with the experience of Swedish culture in Stockholm city but also having seen the wildlife in its natural habitat.
In the evening when the forest is starting to get mystical, comes the time for us to go out there. Indeed the wildlife is very often coming out from dusk to dawn. Please note that animals in the wilderness are hardly predictable. We do everything we can to spot them but we can not guarantee to see them all

What To Expect

Tyresta Nationalpark
We will track animals at the surroundings of Stockholm's national forest.

Starting from our office at 18.00 and out until 22.00, earlier in winter time. We will have plenty of time to get the chance to see Swedish iconic wildlife, make a fire and enjoy a nice dinner cooked on wooden fire.

We will start by minivan through an area where we can see if any animal is awaiting for us. We’ll continue walking in the forest, around a lake where we know that there’s a great animal activity.

During the tour we will have time to talk about the different animals one can encounter in Sweden while in nature, their behaviour, their habits, what they eat, how and where to spot them and much more. Bring your questions along. We will have a break for a dinner before scouting the forest again.

Peaceful hike

We thoroughly enjoyed our hike with Daniel. He told us about the different wildlife found in the area and answered all our questions about the plants and animals in the park. My favorite part was the peaceful hike around the lake at dusk. On the drive back we saw many deer and a few hare in the spotlight. I'm very happy we took this tour, despite some light rain.
Best guide ever

Oscar (I think that's how you spell it) was obsolutely amazing and the most chill guide ever!

He was extremely knowledgeable about the nature in sweden and its different kinds of wildlife.

Was a lovely hike with beautiful scenery and edible berries! We all got treated to some yummy cinnamon buns and tea/hot choc/coffee afterwards.

Got to see plenty of deer and rabbits! Was quite exciting as Oscar was an expert at finding them.

Overall was an awesome experience with a group of wonderful people! Highly reccomend
Great tour with a loose moose!

We joined Daniel and a group of five other tourists for the evening to go to Tyresta national park and look for wildlife and learn about the nature and wildlife in the region.

Daniel was extremely knowledgeable and told us lots about the region and the animals living there. We had a beautiful hike around the park, incorporating a Fika break on the edge of the lake.

As well as the animals, Daniel told us about the plants and fungi in the park and explained some of the ways in which the plants can be used which was really interesting.

We saw a lot of Roe Deer and a few Fallow Deer but the Fallow Deer were quite skittish and didn't stick around for long. The Roe Deer seemed a lot more relaxed.

Whilst we had stopped for our Fika break a White-Tailed also appeared very briefly right above our heads. It was quite impressive to see such a massive bird so close up!

The most exciting part came right at the end of the evening and actually as we were pretty much leaving the park. A big bull moose (or should more properly say Elk) was crossing the field in the open on the way to the park and we were able to watch him briefly but he moved on very quickly.
Wonderful evening adventure in a Swedish nature reserve

Had a wonderful evening outside the city on this adventure. We went on a short hike through the woods to a beautiful lakeside location, shared a simple dinner, and then went searching for Swedish wildlife. Got to see so many deer, a badger, and a large group of wild boar. It was a nice change from the city and the Swedish outdoors is lovely. Our tour guide was terrific!
Wished it was longer!

Beautiful trip to the nature reserve away from the city. It was a group of 3: the guide + another solo traveller + myself. The guide was friendly and knowledgable of local flora and fauna. It felt like a wildlife AND cultural immersion tour! We shared about our different cultural backgrounds, picked berries, spotted animal traces in the forest, chatted about our lives, etc. I wished the animal spotlighting at night was longer! It ended too soon :"(
